I fucking love waffles.
While in Seattle recently to visit my boyfriend Evan, we went to the center of Capitol Hill (Cap Hill for local lingo) to check out the shops and look for some final touches for his cute new apartment. We found some awesome stores in the area; but, as is always the case, I was hungry after about 30 minutes!
Evan suggested getting donuts at General Porpoise but, unfortunately, it was closed (weird hours, but I'll have a review for them soon I'm sure). We ended up getting some waffles instead at a little shop called Sweet Iron, which was right around the corner on 10th Avenue.
I did my usual and told the server to give me her favorite (or the bestseller) without telling me what I was getting. She quickly began coating bananas with sugar and reached for the blow torch. I was in heaven. She ended up serving us the brûléed bananas with caramel and whipped cream, which was divine.
(Side note: I love my new Weird Ape watch! Check them out here.)
If you're ever in Seattle, be sure and visit this family-owned joint at one of their two locations, Cap Hill or Downtown. Please let me know what you got/tag me in insta pics with your yummy treats!
