Some of you have been asking about my tats, so I thought it was time to write about them here. I was going to start with my first tattoo; however, in light of what happened in Manchester and the fact that it's the 50th anniversary of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, I decided to share the inspiration for my "Life is for service" tattoo instead. I hope that you can draw inspiration from it too.
At the center of the Universe is
a loving heart that continues to beat
and that wants the best for every person.
Anything that we can do to help foster
the intellect and spirit and emotional growth
of our fellow human beings, that is our job.
Those of us who have this particular vision
must continue against all odds.
Life is for service.
Fred Rogers (1928-2003)
Spread love, world. For together we are strong. Humanity was meant to love, to share unity and peace, to embrace differences and cultivate potential. Be who you were meant to be. Love.
